I’d like to offer some sage words to y’all, but I’m in a bout of emotional eating that’s out of control, even by my standards. Like, half a jar of peanut butter with a spoon. Then three ice cream bars. Then chicken curry, followed by two big cookies. I can barely taste any of it, but I want something, y’know? So bad I can’t even feel the wanting any more. I’m sure if I looked through archives here I’d find something to address that, but that is a lot of work. Truth is there’s too much going on right now, and I just hope I’ll wake up tomorrow ready to deal instead of plugging the piehole with food.
But luckily where I fail, others succeed, and that’s why contributors are good. Take girl scientist. Did she plateau? Fall down? Gorge on peanut butter? Hells no.
Here’s her dare latest and, well, greatest.
“Damn I’m hot. HOT HOT HOT I tell you! Well, maybe hot in a dorky, nerdy kind of way. Ok, maybe not even quite hot per say, but getting warmer by the month!
It doesn’t help that my head is two sizes too small for my body.
Pass the cupcakes.”

Chocolate syrup is even better if followed by whipped cream straight out of the can… At least that’s what I’ve heard

ok, I am outing myself again. kelly has a way of inspiring me. (yes, a compliment) I have been known to buy 2 bags of parmesan goldfish crackers and crunch and munch till the bag is gone…did I say 10 minutes? I blame it on my young neices even through they live 3000 miles away. How can they eat just 5? and look at each one before they pop em in their mouths ? Ok, and there is the semifreddi’s seeded baguette or the acme sweet that I tear at and eat 3/4 of while I drive the 1/2 mile back home. I need help…

Thanks for the props, peeps. To bad I just spent a week in Monterey at a conference (where I got to be Girl Scientist in front of HUNDREDS of other scientists!) where there was a lot of really bad food. I was good until the last day…then I ate fudge, and popcorn shrimp, and…well you get the idea. Back on the wagon!!
Mary; I would totally hold your hand for stats and be your partner in fitness crime. Let’s set a goal for the end of October and get to it!

Where is the love for Kelly!
WE HEART KELLY! I want to write something clever and pithy and supportive to thank you for being amazing and heroic, but I am lame at that.
Sucks to be mortal, especially when the pie hole is insatiable. Hate that. Really, really hate that.

girl scientist..way to go, look at that ab action! pretty soon, you’ll be in the IC abs hall of fame. nice stats! I used to loathe fridays at the IC, but now….bring it on! It should be all downhill (in stats-not workout progession) from here!
